Talal Abu Ghazaleh Group, a leading Arabic group for professional services in the field of accountancy and management consultancy, is set to open its new university for business studies in Bahrain this September.

The state-of-the-art university which opens at Sanabis will introduce e-learning in the knowledge-based society, remarked Talal Abu Ghazaleh Group chairman Abu Ghazaleh.

Pioneering teaching methods employed by Talal Abu Ghazaleh Graduate School of Business in Jordan will be introduced in Bahrain, he told BNA on the sidelines of Bahrain International eGovernment Forum, where he is a keynote speaker.

'We are talking here of many millions spent in Bahrain, which shows our confidence and firm faith in the Bahraini market and the value of our investment in this country,' Ghazaleh said.

'Talal Abu Ghazaleh Group will continue to harness all our capabilities to provide all professional services and quality management consulting for all government departments as well as civil society and educational institutions in the kingdom,' he stated.

He pointed out that Bahrain ranks first among Arab countries and 27th in the world, according to the Networked Readiness Index in a report issued by the Global Information Technology, in co-operation with 'Insead' at the World Economic Forum.

He described the rating as 'a great achievement worthy of appreciation', thanks to the vision of His Majesty King Hamad, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Economic Development Board chairman.

Ghazaleh hailed Deputy Premier and Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology chairman Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa for his efforts to boost eGovernment projects.

'The main goal of eGovernment is to provide better services to citizens by easier and cheaper means,' he said when asked about his keynote speech at Bahrain International eGovernment Forum.

'I am here as the keynote speaker at the forum and will speak of eGovernment's goals in serving citizens, there is a lot of uncertainty which the forum seeks to clarify.'

He said Talal Abu Ghazaleh Group will establish before the end of the year its own 'cloud computing' technology, which will include all its services.

'Abu Ghazaleh Cloud will be first-of-its-kind service offered by a private company in the region, providing ways of information exchange and transparency, protection and confidentiality at the same time,' he added.

Talal Abu Ghazaleh Group is considered the biggest Arabic group for professional services in the areas of accountancy, management consultancy, training, intellectual property, legal services, information technology, capacity building and translation.

The group is registered with the World Bank, the Register of Accountants and Auditors and the UN Centre for Transnational Corporations.

It has more than 1,500 professionals in multiple specialties, working from 70 offices and 180 representative offices in the Mena region, with representative offices in Europe and North America.-TradeArabia News Service
