GE to provide key SaaS solutions for Royal Jordanian Airlines

GE Aerospace, a global leader in aerospace propulsion, services and systems, has announced a five-year agreement with Royal Jordanian Airlines to provide it with a comprehensive range of SaaS solutions, supporting its digital transformation efforts.

This agreement is the first collaboration between GE Aerospace and Royal Jordanian in the field of SaaS solutions. It emphasizes Royal Jordanian's investment in digital solutions to improve its operations.

Under this, GE will provide Royal Jordanian with its flight operations software solutions, including Safety Insight and Fuel Insight, to enhance its operational data analytics capabilities and support fuel consumption decision-making, safety procedures and operational efficiency.

Royal Jordanian will leverage GE Aerospace's digital technologies to enhance its operational capabilities, serving more than 45 destinations across the Middle East, North Africa, Asia, Europe and North America.

Through the Fuel Insight program, Royal Jordanian will have access to advanced analytics and reporting tools that analyze flight data to identify potential opportunities to improve fuel consumption, reduce costs and reduce carbon emissions, contributing to its efforts towards sustainable aviation practices.

The Safety Insight system will support Royal Jordanian's risk management operations by helping to identify and mitigate potential safety risks, reinforcing its focus on ensuring the highest safety standards in its fleet.

The airline will leverage flight data analytics to monitor flight data, ensure the quality of flight operations, and predictive maintenance, to help enhance safety and operational performance.

Engineer Samer Majali, Vice Chairman/CEO of Royal Jordanian, said: "We are delighted to partner with GE Aerospace to benefit from advanced software solutions."

"This agreement marks an important step in our commitment to enhancing operational efficiency, safety and customer satisfaction. By integrating GE Aerospace into our operations, we look forward to achieving new levels of performance and reliability," he added.

Rami Ainati, Regional General Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa at GE Aerospace, said: "This agreement with Royal Jordanian reflects their confidence in our ability to empower airlines in their transformative digital journeys. Our solutions are specifically designed to provide actionable data-driven insights that are essential to success in today's aviation industry."

"This collaboration underscores our commitment to enabling our airline partners to set new standards and set them for long-term success," he noted.

GE Aerospace and Royal Jordanian have been collaborating for decades. The two companies recently announced an agreement to supply Royal Jordanian's growing fleet of Boeing 787-9 aircraft with 18 GEnx-1B engines, among other services, he added.
