The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), in collaboration with the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), announced in August its intention to expand the GSTC Criteria, which serve as the global standards for sustainable tourism.
This expansion will involve creating a new set of criteria specifically designed for food service providers within the tourism sector.
The official title for these criteria is yet to be determined, but they will focus on establishing global sustainability standards tailored to the distinct requirements of Food & Beverage Service Providers in tourism.
As part of this initiative, the GSTC will also introduce a new training program dedicated to sustainability in restaurants and tourism-related food service providers, enhancing its established Sustainable Tourism Training Program.
