Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), the world’s largest smelter on one site, held a special celebration to honour its female employees on the occasion of Bahraini Women’s Day on December 1.
The event, held at the Company’s Oasis Hall, was attended by CEO Ali Al Baqali, Senior Management, and distinguished guests including Supreme Council for Women’s Director of Women Information Center Maha Sabt, and members of local media outlets were among the distinguished guests at the celebration.
The celebration highlighted the significant contributions of Alba’s female workforce to the company’s success. With one of the largest female workforces in Bahrain’s industrial sector, Alba is committed to empowering women and providing them with opportunities for growth and development. This dedication is shown by each female employee averaging 152 hours of training and development this year. Moreover, nearly 45% of Alba’s female workforce now holds supervisory or higher-level positions.
Through various initiatives and programmes, Alba strives to create a supportive and inclusive work environment for all employees, regardless of gender.
