Gulf Cryo, a leading provider of Industrial and Medical gas solutions, has received an award from Kuwait’s Public Authority for Industry for its effective contribution and outstanding supply of medical oxygen to Kuwait and other countries throughout the emerging Covid-19 pandemic.
The award was presented at the honouring ceremony, which was held at the Marina Hotel in Kuwait under the patronage of Kuwait Minister of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Abdullah Essa Al Salman and in the presence of the Director-General of the Public Authority for Industry (PAI) Abdul Karim Taqi and senior officials of the Authority.
The ceremony was held to recognise key local companies for playing a major role in collaborating with Kuwait government to support the fight against Covid-19 through continuous supply of required material, products and equipment, a statement from Gulf Cryo said.
To serve the national priority of transporting and supplying medical oxygen, and to support the government’s global humanitarian efforts during the Covid-19 crisis, the Public Authority for Industry has partnered with Gulf Cryo to supply tonnes of medical oxygen across not only Kuwait but other countries such as India, Iraq, Jordan and Egypt. The initiative came in the wake of an acute shortage of medical oxygen across the countries, constraining the healthcare’s system ability to provide necessary medical care to Covid-19 patients.
Gulf Cryo throughout its proven operational excellence and massive production facilities, combined with its industrial capabilities, was able to instantly mobilise its resources to face these challenges and meet the demand for the supply of essential medical gases and ensure supply continuity.
