Bahrain announces opening of new park in Saar

Bahrain's Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Ministry has announced the opening of a new 3,372-sq-m park in Block 525 of Saar district.

Its key features include a walking track, a main children's playground with all safety measures, a multi-purpose sports court, and an advanced irrigation system, along with security cameras, reported BNA.

This comes as part of the ministry's broader initiative to provide integrated public and recreational facilities across the kingdom, said Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak after inaugurating the Saar park.

Al Mubarak emphasised the ministry’s commitment to expanding parks and green spaces to ensure a sustainable environment for citizens and residents.

Green spaces make up 800 sq m (30% of the park), with 123 trees planted in line with Bahrain’s national plan for afforestation, he added.
