Bahrain set for Heritage Festival

Bahrain's 25th Annual Heritage Festival will kick off tomorrow (April 6) at 7 pm near Bahrain Fort, said a report.
Held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the event will explore Bahrain's folkloric heritage that is related to natural springs, said a report in BNA.
The festival, which runs till April 15, will also feature an art exhibition showcasing a collection of Bahrain National Museum artefacts. Sixteen Bahraini artists will also display their works related to natural springs and agricultural villages.
Highlights at the festival include Bahrain's famous springs and related handicrafts, a folkloric suq, daily marionettes shows, a cake and biscuit decoration show, musical evenings and a kids corner for daily workshops from 4 pm to 9 pm.
The event has been organised by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA).
