Oman Air introduces flights to Dhaka

MUSCAT, October 26, 2015

Oman Air, the national carrier of Oman, has launched a new service to the Bangladeshi capital of Dhaka, its second destination in the country.

The service will initially offer four flights per week and will gradually increase to six flights a week from December 1.

Oman Air will serve customers on the new route using award winning Airbus 330-300s, configured with 204 Economy Class seats and 26 Business Class seats.

The Gulf carrier also operates seven flights a week between Chittagong and Muscat, Oman’s capital city.

Abdulrahman Al Busaidy, Oman Air’s chief operating officer, said: “Oman Air is very happy to start its second destination in Bangladesh, to the capital city of Dhaka. Flights between Muscat and Dhaka mark a significant milestone in enhancing trade, manpower, tourism and cultural exchanges between the two countries.”

“A large number of Bangladeshis work in Oman and the connectivity offered by the new service will provide easy and convenient travel to their home country. We are sure the new service will be well received by the Bangladeshi expatriates resident in Oman, as well as by those residing in Dhaka,” he said. – TradeArabia News Service
