KFH-Bahrain, Gulf Air seal partnership deal

MANAMA, April 11, 2015

Kuwait Finance House-Bahrain (KFH) has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the national carrier Gulf Air under which its customers can earn free miles in the Gulf Air Falconflyer loyalty programme on using any of the Bahraini bank's credit cards.

A leading provider of Islamic commercial and investment banking services, KFH-Bahrain said the move is in line with the recent launch of its “Visa Signature”, which offers exclusive features and services to its customers.

With one of the largest networks in the Middle East, Gulf Air operates double daily flights to over 10 regional cities, from its hub at Bahrain International Airport in addition to its network service that spans 43 cities in 24 countries across three continents.

Renowned for its traditional Arabian hospitality, evidenced by the airline’s signature family and business friendly products, including its Falconflyer loyalty program, Gulf Air is committed to being an industry leader and developing products and services that reflect the evolving needs and aspirations of its passengers.

Khalid Rafea, the executive manager and head of banking group at KFH-Bahrain, said: "It is our pleasure to sign this strategic agreement with the Kingdom’s national carrier which will reward our credit card holders with excellent offers whenever they travel with Gulf Air. Any purchases or payments made with our credit cards will earn our clients free miles that can be redeemed for flights, upgrades, excess baggage and many other benefits."

“In 2015, our credit card holders can look forward in excitement and anticipation for the various benefits we plan to introduce”, he added.

Gulf Air acting chief commercial officer Ahmed Janahi said: "We are delighted to join forces with KFH-Bahrain in a move that gives more people the opportunity to enjoy the various privileges associated with our Falconflyer Programme thereby enhancing the travel experience."

"In its 20th year, the Gulf Air Falconflyer loyalty programme continues to offer superior benefits to travelers - making it a highly sought after and rewarding membership," noted Janahi.

Pioneered by the airline two decades ago, Falconflyer loyalty programme boasts over a million members across 100 countries around the globe. -TradeArabia News Service
