Netjets gets region's first Falcon 2000LX aircraft
Dubai, November 12, 2009
The NetJets Middle East Programme, provided by National Air Services (NAS), has received a new Falcon 2000LX – the first Falcon 2000LX aircraft to be operated commercially in the Middle East.
The company is celebrating its 10th anniversary as the region’s leading provider of executive jet ownership programmes.
The NetJets Middle East Programme, a favourite of some of the region’s most successful individuals, private companies and multinationals, already has a fleet comprising the Gulfstream 450 and Hawker 750 but sees the arrival of the new long-range Falcon 2000LX as a major step forward.
“With its range of up to 4,000 nautical miles, the Falcon 2000LX can fly non-stop from Dubai to Paris and London. The Falcon 2000LX is the optimum aircraft to fly this route with a spacious cabin and good performance enabling it to get into some of the smaller airports in Europe. This, coupled with its large baggage compartment, allows our guests to travel with all their home comforts,” stated Graeme Deary, executive director - Business Development.
The aircraft has been chosen for the fleet not just for its ideal range, but also because of its reliability.
“With the new aircraft, we have the additional assurance of knowing that it is designed as much for high cycle use as high performance, precisely the kind of performance and reliability that premium operators such as The NetJets Middle East Programme demands,” he added.
The NetJets Middle East Programme brought fractional aircraft ownership programmes to the Middle East to offer all of the advantages of private jet travel but at a fraction of the cost. Owners buy or lease a fractional interest in an executive aircraft based on the number of hours they are likely to fly in a year.
“The NetJets Middle East Programme then provides them with an aircraft to suit their flight profile taking into consideration passenger comfort, range requirements and frequency of flights and will take care of the operational aspects of aircraft ownership. Fractional Ownership was invented by NetJets in the US, and through our affiliation with them, our owners have access to the world’s largest fleet of executive aircraft.”
Importantly, while clients take a fractional ownership share in a specific aircraft, the freedom is there to interchange between aircraft types in accordance with their specific usage requirements, per booking. Ownership costs are guaranteed for five years.
“Most of our clients can afford their own aircraft,” Deary concluded. “They just appreciate that the intelligent, cost-effective alternative is not to.”-TradeArabia News Service
