Fast Rent A Car expands
Dubai, July 23, 2007
Fast Rent A Car has announced the opening of a new branch in Salam Street, Abu Dhabi.
This brings the total number of Fast branches to 16 spread throughout the country.
Fast Rent A Car's latest addition to the growing car rental business in the UAE is located in Abu Dhabi's famous 'car rental district', on the street that will soon be transformed into Abu Dhabi's main road, facilitating traffic flow between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
The Salam Street transformation, which includes the building of three tunnels, is estimated to cost Dh621 million and is sure to become a focal point in Abu Dhabi.
The Fast Salam Street offices will provide tourists and residents with all their car rental needs, with a central location for frequent commuters via the soon to be operational Sheikh Zayed Bridge.
'We are happy and eager to be opening a new branch in such a central location,' explains Ahmed Abood Al Boasy, general manager of Emirates National Group, the mother company of Fast.
'This step is completely in line with our aim to grow and provide customers with better service, just like our expansion into Qatar with two Fast Al-Khaleej branches. Today, the need for reliable and tailored service is greater than ever, and we are here to make sure people get what they want.'
This new branch will also bring a much needed service closer to everyone's reach, setting Fast in a class of its own, even in such a competitive location.
Fast has had an impressive growth in terms of fleet strength over the last few years following its creation in 1990, including the recent acquisition of 1,000 vehicles in early 2007, all helping to turn Fast Rent A Car into the leading car rental company in the region.
With a fleet strength of 6000 vehicles and this new addition, Fast Rent A Car will effectively have 16 offices across the UAE: 8 in Abu Dhabi, 5 in Dubai, while Al Ain, Sharjah and Fujeirah have one location each, fully catering to the region's transportation needs. TradeArabia News Service
