DSF street runway 'an urban trendy affair'

DUBAI, January 26, 2017

The fourth and final installment of street runway at Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) was a big hit thanks to an unexpected environment with a fantastic mix of outfits that brought a unique vision to the show, said the organisers, Dubai Tourism.

The event, which took place at City Walk was an urban and trendy affair, it stated.

Dubai Tourism is the principal authority for the planning, supervision, development and marketing of the emirate’s tourism sector.

It markets and promotes the Emirate’s commerce sector, and is responsible for the licensing and classification of all tourism services, including hotels, tour operators and travel agents. Its ultimate vision is to position Dubai as the world’s leading tourism destination and commercial hub.

For the finale, the participating brands included Atos Lombardini, Cavalli Class, Rebecca Minkoff, Level Kids and Antonio Marras. The hair stylist and make-up partner for the event was Le BHV Marais.

"Imagine a fashion show where the clothes match the surrounding architecture. Now imagine an opportunity to see such a spectacle come to life. Well, DSF gave the public that exact chance as it held the exciting fourth and final instalment of Street Runway at City Walk yesterday evening," remarked one of the organisers.

"This was the ‘Urban Trendy’ edition of the ever-popular fashion show inspired by the backdrop of its locale," he added.

Using textured cubes and grunge metal elements as well as speakers and LED screens, the final edition of Street Runway left the audience with an appreciation for both the show’s environment and the talents of the designers, said the organisers.

Rarely do such strong and independent artistic expressions come together to present one evening of shared vision and the mix of local female, male and child models showcased a range of international designers and brands.

The last Street Runway was a fitting farewell to this popular series of public events with two consecutive shows on the same day, they added.-TradeArabia News Service
