BenQ posts 135pc Q2 growth in gaming monitors

MANAMA, October 29, 2015

BenQ Middle East & Turkey, a leading consumer electronics company, has reported a strong growth of 135 per cent in the gaming monitor segment the second quarter (Q2) of the year.

Compared to same period last quarter, the company experienced double digit growth in the UAE for its gaming monitors, 214 per cent in Saudi Arabia and 519 per cent in Turkey.

Manish Bakshi, managing director, BenQ Middle East & Turkey, said: “When it comes to gaming monitors, we have always pushed the boundaries in terms of refresh rates and pixel density, motion blur reduction technology and FreeSync, offering gaming enthusiasts the most thrilling experience.”

“There is a niche community of Arab gamers in the region who frequent gaming cafes, take part in tournaments and also do not mind investing in high end monitors for personal use. We targeted them early on and today we are the preferred brand of choice, helping us to rake in 135 per cent of growth in the last quarter alone.
