New Nokia Asha range arrives in Bahrain

Nokia and Intercol, the authorised partner for Nokia in Bahrain, have launched the Asha 500, 502 and 503 models in the kingdom.

The Nokia Asha 503 is the first 3.5G model in the new generation of Asha platform smartphones, said a statement.

The device features a layered design, scratch-resistant, curved Gorilla glass screen, five-megapixel camera, and LED flash, besides one-touch social sharingand the Fastlane home screen, it said.

Vithesh Reddy, general manager, Nokia Lower Gulf, said: “We have expanded the Asha family with a trio of smartphones that offer consumers a choice of phone that suits their budget, each with stunning design, great social apps, and new imaging experiences.”

The Nokia Asha 502 and 503 are available in Bahrain as easy swap dual Sim variants, with the Asha 503 also available as a single Sim device.

The devices are the first Asha platform devices with a built-in five-megapixel camera with LED flash, a full touch display and fully redesigned user interface.

Fastlane is a second screen that acts as a shortcut to the phone’s recently accessed apps, features and content, as well as future activity, such as calendar appointments. It also features integration with social networks enabling live updates, which alert people to new activity through notifications on Fastlane.

WhatsApp will also be available on these Asha platform devices for the first time, besides the already popular chat and messaging apps such as WeChat, Line, eBuddy and Nimbuzz. - TradeArabia News Service
