More than 5,000 retail outlets across Dubai are gearing up for Eid Al Adha and the UAE National Day celebrations with shopping promotions as part of the upcoming ‘Eid in Dubai’ organised by the Dubai Shopping Festival Office.

Outlets and shopping malls are witnessing brisk business with the ‘Eidyat Dubai’ promotion having begun last week.

Participating malls for this year’s promotion include Al Manal Center, Arabian Center, Lamcy Plaza, Reef Mall, Wafi, BurJuman, Palm Strip, Twin Towers, Mall of the Emirates, Deira City Centre, Dubai Mall, Dubai Marina Mall, Mercato, Town Centre, Dubai Festival City, Al Ghurair City and Ibn Battuta Mall.

Suhaila Gobash, projects director of DSF Office said, 'The overwhelming response of the retail sector for the Eidyat Dubai promotion is an indication of how ‘Eid in Dubai’ has succeeded in becoming a shopping and cultural celebration for families within UAE and across the region in only its second year.'

'During this festive season, shoppers can look forward to some of the best shopping deals coupled with the opportunity to take home cash prizes worth thousands of dirhams.'

“The participation numbers are also the result of a unique festive period created by the occasion of Eid Al Adha and the UAE National Day, a combination that does not occur every year,” she added.

The ‘Eidyat Dubai’ promotion is closely linked to the ‘Eid in Dubai’ Mega Raffle where on a minimum shopping spend of Dh200 ($54.4), shoppers receive coupons and the chance to become one of 38 winners to take home cash prizes.

Retail outlets wanting to participate in the Eidyat Dubai promotion can do so till November 25, 2009. Applications forms are available at the DSF Office located on the first floor of the Department of Economic Development on Baniyas Road, Deira.

The coupons are available at all participating retail outlets and shopping malls till December 2, 2009. The prizes vary from Dh38 to Dh380,000, and the draw will also be held on December 2 to commemorate UAE’s 38th National Day, Gobash added.-TradeArabia News Service
