Iran, Norway to expand offshore oil co-operation

TEHRAN, October 15, 2015

Iran and Norway have signed a deal to expand co-operation in offshore oil and gas projects, according to a report.

Saeid Hafezi, chief executive officer of Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) and Aud Lise Norheim, Norwegian Ambassador to Iran agreed on the deal, in the presence of a representative from Intsok oil and gas company, said the Iran Daily report.

Given the new political and interantional conditions, competent Norwegian companies and major investors can take part in Iranian projects, Norheim was quoted as saying.

"IOOC projects have great potentials for bilateral cooperation. Norway is ready to raise mutual ties with Iran in all areas, especially in oil and gas projects," she added.
