Total oil production in the Saudi Arabia and Kuwait shared Neutral Zone stands at 610,000 barrels per day (bpd), a senior Kuwait official said on Tuesday.

Output from the shared zone's Khafji field currently stood at 310,000 bpd, with capacity at 350,000 bpd, Baddr Al-Khashti said.

He said enhanced oil recovery techniques being used in the region were aimed at sustaining rather than boosting capacity. - Reuters
