Bahrain Motor Show sells out exhibition space
Manama, October 11, 2011
Exhibition space at this year's Bahrain International Motor Show has sold out several weeks before the event is set to start, said the organisers.
The third edition of the show was due to take place in March, but was postponed as a result of the unrest.
Organised by local motor-trade specialists Auto Collection, it will instead run from November 3 to 5 at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), with more than 40 local companies participating.
Leading motor dealers Euro Motors, Behbahani Brothers and Al Ghassan Motors have signed up for the event, at which they will showcase their newest ranges.
The show was first launched by Auto Collection in 2007 and has developed to attract motor enthusiasts and industry leaders from across the country.
This year's show will feature a combination of live track events and exhibition activities, including the first Bahrain outing for the Slingshot Monster Truck.
Stunt bikes, classic and supercar displays, test-driving, live music and family entertainment will also be among the main attractions.
Auto Collection chief executive officer Wassim Sami Farhoud previously predicted a record attendance for this year's show.
Speaking at a Press conference to officially launch the motor show at the BIC yesterday, he repeated his intention to make the event the best of its kind in the world.
Behbahani Brothers general manager Peter Green took the opportunity to announce the addition of Fiat and Alfa Romeo to the Behbahani family.
The official opening ceremony will take place under royal patronage at the BIC, Sakhir, on November 3.
The show will be open to the public that evening and continue on November 4 and 5. Admission is BD5 ($13.2) and free for children under 12. – TradeArabia News Service
