Bahrain vows legal rights for arrested

Manama, September 12, 2010

Bahrain has vowed all legal rights to those arrested in connection with the running of a clandestine terror network seeking to subvert the kingdom’s stability and security.

“Any piece of evidence illegally extracted won’t be allowed in the court and would be considered null and void, including confessions under pressure,” Public Prosecutor Dr Ali bin Fadhel Al Buainain said. He was speaking following allegations surrounding the case of Bahraini Jaafar Al Hassabi.

“The Public Prosecution abides by all guarantees and rights granted to the accused by the constitution, the law provisions and the international conventions,” Dr Al Buainain said.-TradeArabia News Service
