AEG, Done Events to partner across the ME
Dubai, July 14, 2010
AEG Middle East is partnering with Done Events, a subsidiary of Arab Media Group (AMG), which is a leading media and entertainment organisation in the UAE.
AEG will no longer maintain a permanent office in the region, and will instead associate with Done Events, a statement said.
The AEG team has produced massive live events in the region with artists like Bon Jovi, Kylie Minogue, Iron Maiden, Backstreet Boys, Keane, Rod Stewart and Spandau Ballet for the past two and a half years.
AEG managing director Thomas Ovesen and key members of his team will transfer to Done Events with Ovesen taking the position as director of Done Events.
“AEG Live is delighted to be building on its successes to date in the Middle East in a strong new partnership with Done Events,” said Rob Hallett, president, International Touring at AEG Live.
“Everyone knows what a force AEG Middle East has been, so it’s the perfect outcome for us to associate with AEG Live and to add their team to our existing group of industry professionals. Synergies with other Arab Media Group subsidiaries like Arabian Radio Network (ARN) and ticketing arm 'Box Office' will strengthen our offering,” said Mohamed AlMulla, chief of Arab Media Group (AMG).
“The addition of talent management and live concerts to the strong corporate event management portfolio will provide full service event solutions to the market,” stated Vikas Jain, chief operating officer of Done Events.
“AEG Live touring talent will have access to an excellent events team in the region. Done Events is expanding to include a fully-fledged live concert operation. It makes sense for us to merge our unique expertise in this market, making Done Events the market leader. It is a perfect partnership,” added Thomas Ovesen.-TradeArabia News Service
