EDB to promote Bahrain at key London expo
Manama, September 3, 2008
The Economic Development Board (EDB) will spearhead a delegation of senior Bahrain-based businesses as exhibitors to the GCC Europe Expo in London.
The event will be held on November 12 and 13 to promote 'Business Friendly Bahrain'.
The expo will be an ideal platform to forge new commercial relationships between EU and GCC businesses and will help boost bilateral trade and investment between the two regions.
Whilst providing a showcase for goods and services from the GCC, Europe and the UK, the expo will also deliver a wide range of back-to-back seminars to inform, educate and promote bilateral trade.
Keynote speakers will include British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, GCC secretary-general Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Attiyah, EU commissioner for external trade Peter Mandelson and Eurochambres president Pierre Simon.
As a key sponsor, the EDB will be exhibiting 'Business Friendly Bahrain' to key business decision makers from Europe and other GCC states, highlighting what the kingdom has to offer in terms of opportunities and an exceptional business environment.
Senior officials from leading companies based in Bahrain, who have realised the networking opportunity, will join the EDB to promote their businesses.
More firms are expected to be added to the participation list shortly.
Bahrain's major development projects will also be showcased to emphasise the rapid development that the kingdom is currently witnessing.
The expo will include over 150 exhibitors, a full two-day seminar, and cultural and entertainment programmes.
It will also feature specific European and GCC country regional zones in the exhibition halls, accommodating up to 3,000 visitors each day.
The sponsorship entails that 'Business Friendly Bahrain' will have a headlining presence at the exhibition accompanied by the EDB's Bahraini business partners' exhibits during the event. - TradeArabia News Service
