Saudi princess Deena Aljuhani Abdulaziz has exited her role as editor-in-chief of Vogue Arabia, effective immediately, a report in Business of Fashion website said.

The magazine is published by Condé Nast International.

The Saudi princess was appointed to the role in July 2016, charged with leading the launch of the publisher’s long-awaited move into the Middle Eastern market.

Some reports said she was sacked form her post by Condé Nast International.

It is understood that a new editor has already been appointed and an announcement is forthcoming, Business of Fashion said

Vogue Arabia was launched in partnership with Dubai-based publishing company Nervora, and debuted with a dual-language website in Arabic and English last year, followed by a print edition in March.

Prior to her appointment as editor-in-chief of Vogue Arabia, Aljuhani Abdulaziz founded members-only boutique D'NA,  the report said.
