Ericsson’s MEA president wins Forbes honour

DUBAI, November 19, 2015

Ericsson’s president for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region was recognised by Forbes Middle East among the top executives in the region ranking 15th on the list of 100 executives.

Rafiah Ibrahim was honoured during the magazine’s Global Meets Local Awards, held last night (November 18) in Dubai, UAE, said a statement.

"It is an honor to be recognised as a top executive in this dynamic and vibrant region. Working in the technology sectory is a reward in itself to be part of the positive change that the technology is creating to our society and paving the way for life in the networked society," said Ibrahim.

"This award is a recognition for the hard work that the entire team at Ericsson puts into their everyday job,” she said.

For the third year running, Forbes Middle East presented this ranking and stellar event under the Global Meets Local theme at the Waldorf Astoria, Dubai Palm Jumeirah, said the statement.

The Global Meets Local study highlights the significance of the Mena region and its top executives on the global corporate stage. It was inspired by the Forbes Global 2000 – a ranking of the biggest, most powerful and most valuable publicly listed companies in the world, it added. - TradeArabia News Service
