DUBAI, June 16, 2015

Taiwan-based BenQ, a leading technology and solutions provider, has launched the XR3501 – world’s first curved gaming monitor.

BenQ said its latest innovative monitor has been tailor-made for gaming enthusiasts, offering a 35-inch curved gaming monitor with 2000R ultra high curvature and 144 Hz.

The company pointed out that the highlights of its new monitor are: 2000R ultra high curvature screen; 144Hz refresh rate; 21:9 ultra wide and high resolution; 20-Level colour vibrance setting; black eQualizer technology for total visibility; and exclusive game modes.

Speaking on the decision to host the grand launch in the region, Manish Bakshi, managing director of BenQ Middle East and Turkey, said: “The increased broadband penetration and Arab youth’s connectivity to internet is driving the regional gaming market, and BenQ has carved a niche position in the market with its wide range of gaming monitors.”

“The Middle East’s gaming industry is expected to grow to $4.4 billion in 2022,” he said citing a report by the management consultancy firm Strategy& and Abu Dhabi’s twofour54.
