Menatelecom seals Elitecore LTE service deal

Dubai, June 23, 2014

Bahrain's Menatelecom has rolled out its LTE network in co-existence with its ongoing WiMax network with support from Elitecore Technologies, a leading provider of integrated policy, charging and revenue management solutions.

Supporting up to 200,000 subscribers, Elitecore’s LTE revenue and customer management platform has supported complete WiMax-to-LTE Transformation for Menatelecom by upgrading the existing Elitecore WiMax platform to support LTE + WiMax  components through cost-effective integration with third party Evolved Packet Core (LTE-EPC) components achieving smooth activation of multiple prepaid-postpaid services such as voice, data and bundled offerings.

The Elitecore platform, which was ready to go live in just three months, offered a converged product portfolio enabling the operator to launch new LTE and WiMax Data and Voice/IMS services on a single platform, while allowing integration between services and products for faster time-to-market.

Abdul Razak Jawahery, chairman of Menatelecom, said: “At Menatelecom, our aim is to deliver a unique customer experience for all our users. We have been the first to introduce nationwide 4G LTE services in Bahrain. We chose Elitecore for its customer-centric focus.”

“The whole project was successfully delivered meeting our key business requirements of integration with the existing ecosystem, performance optimisation and operational efficiencies at minimum CapEx, speedily initiate new offerings and enhance overall customer experience,” he said.

“Elitecore is operating Menatelecom’s BSS on a managed services basis to become the custodian of our IT system ensuring the implementation of our LTE platform and the migration of existing services without a single issue,” said Jawahery.

Nikhil Jain, MD and CEO of Elitecore, said: “LTE’s promise of high speed bandwidth and ubiquitous reach is making several operators shift from WiMax to LTE or have them co-exist. Elitecore has proven itself as a reliable partner for service providers to address their migration challenges from WiMax to LTE and offers the flexibility of either pre-integrated stack, or standalone modular components. Our LTE revenue and customer management platform enables operators with “concept-to-cash” solution which is scalable, agile and efficient.”

Elitecore’s LTE revenue and customer management platform offers a real-time, pre-integrated stack of BSS (online charging, convergent billing, provisioning) and EPC offerings (PCRF, DSC and 3GPPAAA)  for operators to speedily rollout its 4G/LTE, IMS services and enhance overall customer experience through a single convergent platform.

It facilitates smooth transition to IP-based network while providing unified controls of prepaid and postpaid services and real-time provisioning- activation for rapid customer acquisition. It supports faster and cost-effective integration and interoperability as a result of proven integration experience with top EPC vendors. - TradeArabia News Service
