Senior French delegation visits Alba

MANAMA, December 20, 2016

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), a leading international aluminium smelter, recently received top officials from France during a visit aimed at boosting the strong commercial ties between Bahrain and France.

The visiting delegation included the Ambassador of France to Bahrain Bernard Régnauld-Fabre, deputy director of Middle East at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ludovic Pouille, and chief of economy section at the French Embassy Aude Robin-Mitrevski, said a statement from Alba.

Alba’s chief financial officer Ali Al Baqali and director of administration Waleed Al Tamimi met with the French delegation and gave them insights on Alba’s role in supporting the national economy as well as its plans for the future, it said.

Al Baqali said: “It was a privilege to receive Régnauld-Fabre and his guests as well as showcase our company’s pioneering role as the first smelter in the Middle East.”

“We, also, look forward to further strengthening the business relations and cultural ties between both of our countries,” he added.

Additionally, the delegation was given a tour of Alba’s smelter and briefed on the company’s initiatives in the field of safety, health, environment and employees’ empowerment, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
