Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), one of the world's leading aluminium smelters, recently organised a leadership workshop titled “Boss vs. Leader” for its non-management employees, at the Alba Club.

The workshop, conducted by Alba’s chief executive officer, Tim Murray, was aimed at providing the attendees with suitable leadership skills needed to compete in the global markets, said a statement from Alba.

The workshop was originally presented to Alba’s executives, directors and managers followed by its management employees, it said.

It was then extended to the non-management employees in order to ensure that they too are equipped with the valuable leadership skills covered in the workshop, it stated.

Murray said: “Employees are our most valuable assets in the company. We believe that through direct communication, we will be able to connect with our human capital to share our goals and priorities.”

“Also, one-on-one workshops with our employees ensure getting the message across the different layers of management as well as engage directly with the workforce,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
