RSG picks Rosewood Hotels to manage premium Saudi property

RIYADH, March 28, 2023

Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind two of the world's most ambitious regenerative tourism destinations in Saudi Arabia - The Red Sea and Amaala, has signed up Rosewood Hotels & Resorts to manage its premium property in Amaala featuring 110 guest rooms and suites as well as 25 luxury residences.

The Rosewood Amaala will be located in one of the world’s most pristine environments, the Red Sea region of Saudi Arabia, which is home to some of the most diverse and delicate natural environments.

Designed by renowned Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel (ACPV) Architects, the luxury resort will have sustainability as the cornerstone of its entire design, thus offering a spectacular landscape for guests to enjoy.

The property has been crafted at every level to prioritise longevity, while also creating a physical structure that will foster an environment of wellness and tranquillity, it stated.

According to RSG, the entire leisure destination will be powered by renewable energy sources with plans to be both zero waste to landfill.

Rosewood Hotel Group CEO Sonia Cheng expressed delight at partnering with Red Sea Global on the Amaala project and working to offer a more regenerative model of hospitality for future generations.

The focal point of the resort’s wellness offering is the Asaya Spa, which is discretely hidden away amongst the rolling landscape, providing a sanctuary for meditation, tranquillity, and well-being.

Complete with private treatment pavilions set around a protected green oasis, this refuge will embody Asaya’s commitment to creating thoughtfully designed spaces where guests can relax and rejuvenate, she stated.

"Our group has shown a considerable commitment to bringing affluential explorers to this region as Rosewood Amaala joins the brand’s expansive pipeline in the Middle East. The resort will explore what it truly means to be regenerative, with unique experiences that weave together wellness and sustainability— an embodiment of RSG’s understanding that the future of hospitality is rooted in both people and planet," she added.

"From the moment guests enter the resort, they will be immersed in a world of contrasts. Hidden amongst the verdant green landscapes and the drama of the Red Sea coast, a timeless architecture immerges to delight and inspire," explained Cheng.

The property will offer an array of distinctive culinary experiences including fine dining, casual eateries and beach inspired club lounges, all taking advantage of the Red Sea views, she noted.

Lauding the partnership, RSG Group CEO John Pagano said Rosewood Amaala will be part of its Amaala destination, an integrated wellness haven.

"Rosewood Amaala has been meticulously designed to seamlessly integrate indoor and outdoor living, while offering guests a level of privacy and exclusivity often found in an all-villa resort," he noted.

"Together, we want to create a lifestyle oasis for our guests that aims to welcome a regenerative era of travel, while shining a positive light on this diverse corner of the globe," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
