The Big 5 Saudi, the largest construction exhibition in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, will be hosting educational workshops and seminars for industry professionals keen to develop their careers in a challenging climate, said the event organisers.

Construction professionals who want to develop their careers in a challenging climate will be heading to The Big 5 Saudi this March, to take advantage of the extensive programme of educational workshops and seminars.

This year’s exhibition, to be hosted at the Jeddah Centre for Forums & Events over four days from March 7 to 10, will feature more learning opportunities than ever before.

For the first time, it will give thousands of visitors access to diverse certified workshops and seminars, all free of charge, said the organisers.

Workshops take place on all four days of the exhibition, with a programme suited to a full range of construction professionals. Most will take just one to two hours to refresh their knowledge and inspire their thinking, they added.

Each session will be presented by an expert who will provide attendees with viewpoints on the latest trends and ideas from across the industry.

Topics include contract management, quality control, workplace safety and issues of sustainability.

According to the organisers, each programme is CPD (continuing professional development) certified and can make a contribution toward professional accreditation with a number of industry associations.

On the second day of the show, the Vision in Construction seminar series will host panel discussions offering expert insight and analysis on the state of the market, business opportunities in the country, risk management and project finance, along with other pivotal industry issues.

Other features integral to The Big 5 Saudi include a dedicated Concrete Zone and an outdoor PMV Zone where visitors can learn about the latest in concrete technologies, get hands on with plant and machinery and see live demonstrations that will include earthmoving equipment, lifting equipment and material handling machines.
