Imdaad unveils 2016 business strategy

DUBAI, November 2, 2015

Imdaad, a leading provider of integrated facilities and waste management solutions in the GCC, outlined its new business strategy for 2016 at the Budget Day held in Dubai, UAE.

At the company event, all the business units of Imdaad discussed the challenges and opportunities in the growing regional facilities management (FM) market driven by a $172-billion construction sector.

Imdaad’s senior officials discussed the major milestones of 2015 that complement the UAE’s drive towards sustainability.

The company's most prominent accomplishment for 2015 had been the strategic partnership with WMS Metal Industries, a UAE-based company that specialises in the design and manufacture of environmental products, for the development and installation of a new waste separation system in Dubai.

The first recycling initiative of its kind in the world, the system is expected to divert nearly 2,000 tons of waste annually from landfills to the new facility, said a company statement.

Also the winning of a three-year comprehensive maintenance and repair contract for Emirates Transport’s fleet of vehicles and equipments marked yet another significant achievement for Imdaad, it added.

Imdaad said the FM sector in Saudi Arabia, which is worth $20 billion, is set to grow at 10 per cent per annum to become the region’s biggest market, while the UAE's integrated FM solutions market was set to hit $5.4 million mark.

Lauding the employees for their dedication, CEO Jamal Abdullah Lootah said: "We have gathered to discuss the highlights of 2015 and draft the budget and present strategies to ensure an equally successful 2016. Let us work together with the same vigour and enthusiasm to make Imdaad the leading name in FM and waste management in the Middle East."-TradeArabia News Service
