UAE Exchange in community development partnership

UAE Exchange, a leading remittance, foreign exchange and payment solutions brand, has extended its philanthropic arm by partnering with Community Development Authority of Dubai to benefit various local community groups, educational institutions, charitable organisations, labour camps and government departments.

Varghese Mathew, country head – UAE, said: “We are an organisation that is committed to the betterment of our community. The collaboration with CDA is centered on the social commitment of UAE Exchange to be a part of the overall development of the community.

“In line with the various activities already underway, we seek to expand our reach by creating and growing existing programs, empowering people to participate in voluntary services and mobilise support.”

Dr Sayed Mohamed Al Hashmi, chief executive officer, Social Program and Service, Community Development Authoritym said: “The private sector has been always a key player in the community improvement. We are keen to see leading companies like the UAE Exchange taking their responsibility to the society they belong to, and playing a role in enhancing people’s happiness.”      

This first-of-its-kind association between UAE Exchange and Dubai volunteering centre in Community Development Authority in Dubai would prominently integrate various activities to enhance the welfare and improve quality of life for people living in Dubai, said a estaminet.

Through this initiative, UAE Exchange also plans to promote Individual Social Responsibility (ISR) amongst its staff, thereby, augmenting the expansion of social development of the community members of the country, it added. - TradeArabia News Service
