BisB swings to $15.7m net profit

Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) has registered a net profit of BD6.1 million (15.7 million) last year when compared to a net loss of BD36.1 million in 2012.
The bank had registered a net profit of BD2.3 million in the last quarter of the year, compared with a net loss of BD15.3 million for the same period of 2012, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.
Chairman Abdul Razak Al Qassim announced that the board has approved the financial statements.
The board also expressed its satisfaction with the results and the quick recovery to profitability, which gives a favourable outlook for the future, the report added.-TradeArabia News Service
