Oman tourism ministry to participate at ATM

Oman's Ministry of Tourism will represent the sultanate, and participate in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai, from April 24 to 27.

Oman’s delegation will be led by Maitha Saif Al Mahrouqi, the undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism.
 
The sultanate participates in the ATM annually, as it is considered the largest international gathering specialised in tourism in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena). Major contributors and decision-makers in tourism-related activities participate in the ATM; namely - airlines, hotels, shipping companies, conference centers, hotels, resorts, tour organizers, senior executives in the tourism sector and travel agencies.
 
The ATM provides a crucial platform for participants from government agencies and private companies to present their products, services, and the new tourism projects to the right target audience. The target audience also become oriented with the latest developments which take place in the Arab and international tourism industry as the exhibition serves as the perfect opportunity to meet and network with other interested parties, as well as attend workshops, seminars and other events that are organized on the sidelines of the ATM.

Through its participation in this international exhibition - The Ministry of Tourism seeks to introduce the sector’s latest developments and the most recently launched services, projects and facilities of the tourism industry in the sultanate. It also aims to promote Omani tourism - its originality, the pristine environment and terrain diversification and the sultanate’s unique cultural heritage, which provides multiple types of tourism in Oman.

The Ministry’s participation will highlight future tourism plans and projects which are expected to be launched soon, and those that will add a value to the sector by attracting a large number of tourists. A special focus will be given to promote tourism in summer - Khareef (autumn) Festival in Salalah; and other most prominent offers that visitors can avail of from various tourism establishments and hotels.

The Arabian Travel Market is a leading international event for tourism in the Middle East. Celebrating its 22 years since being launched, the forum marks important aspects in tourism. Participants in this annual business fair from the tourism sector exhibit more than 2,800 products and destinations from around the world.

The ATM will be held for four days at Dubai International Convention Centre. It will host more than 39,000 visitors who are interested in tourism sector like - specialists and professionals from travel industry, government’s officials and international media representatives in order to communicate and discover the latest trends in the sector.

Twenty-eight companies and tourism establishments under the Ministry’s name will participate in this year’s ATM. The Ministry is always keen to cooperate with partners within the tourism sector to integrate efforts toward promoting Omani tourism products and institutions working within the industry; and achieves this by participating in various international forums, which provide an opportunity for institutions to identify their services and display their promotional programs to the audience and stakeholders.
 
Representatives from Travel Point LLC, Grand Hyatt Muscat Hotel, Experience Oman, Ehab Travel Agency, InterContinental Muscat Hotel, Coral Muscat Hotel & Apartments, and Millennium Hotels and Resorts, among many others, will participate in the ATM Forum.

This year, the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) will include a number of events for travel and tourism professionals, and will also witness the participation of experts and leading personalities in the tourism sector, who will discuss and review various key issues related to tourism over the four days of the forum. - TradeArabia News Service
