Oman refinery to resume operations April 26

Muscat, April 22, 2013

Oman's Sohar oil refinery will resume operations from April 26 after closing for two months for maintenance, the state-run refinery said on Monday.

"Start-up activities will commence on 26 April 2013 which will last for approximately two weeks," a statement said. The 116,000 barrel per day refinery was shut on Feb. 28.

Oman has a second refinery at the capital Muscat with capacity of 106,000 bpd, and plans to build another in the eastern town of Duqm. The country produces around 950,000 bpd of crude oil. – Reuters
