Grohe showcases sustainable line at Lebanon event

Beirut, April 5, 2012

Leading sanitary fittings company, Grohe, showcased its line of sustainable products at the recently held "Build It Green Lebanon” Sustainability Solutions Conference for the third consecutive year.

The company shared its commitment to the natural world and its expertise in water sustainability during its participation, a statement from Grohe said.

The products allow consumers to reduce their water usage and energy consumption, leading to a smaller carbon footprint without compromising on comfort and enjoyment, the statement said.

All Grohe products are characterised by a balance of quality, design, technology and sustainability, it said.

Research into product lifecycles has revealed that the greatest impact on the environment occurs during the usage of the products. The company therefore offers economical, long-life products that will please and function in the long term.

Featuring the resource-efficient Grohe EcoJoy technology meets the requirements of national building energy efficiency labels.

Single-lever mixers equipped with EcoJoy guarantee a maximum flow rate of 5.8 litres per minute regardless of pressure fluctuations. Faucets for the kitchen sink are also available as EcoJoy variants.

For the bathroom, there are showers with integrated saving technology and models equipped with an ‘EcoButton’, which gives users fingertip control of their water consumption.

Thermostats also feature this button, which reduces the flow rate by up to 50 per cent. Flushing systems for the toilet are available with a start/stop button or with a two-volume flush, which allows the user to choose the amount of water they want to use.

Touch-free or self-closing faucets are especially recommendable for public and commercial restrooms.

Another product is ‘Grohe Blue’, a kitchen system which delivers chilled and filtered still, medium or sparkling water direct from the tap.

Grohe has also reduced the packaging volume of its products by about 50 per cent, needing fewer pallets to be transported by truck, reducing carbon emissions, it said. – TradeArabia News Service
