BenQ unveils new digital signage range

Dubai, June 18, 2013

BenQ, a leading provider of digital lifestyle innovations, has launched its latest line-up of digital signage for public information display (PID) series or video wall solutions.

The newest PID range aims to cater and meet every digital signage need in public information, transportation, government, banking, retail and hospitality venues, with low total cost of ownership (TCO), solid quality, versatile performance, longer service life and environment adaptability, a statement said.

“As a brand that constantly strives to provide the best-of-breed products in the consumer, professional and commercial categories, BenQ never ceases to surprise and amaze its users in the search for top-notch quality,” said Manish Bakshi, managing director, BenQ Middle East.

“Our latest PID range is packed with absolute brilliance, incredible technical ease on deployment, and configuration and management.”

BenQ helps businesses get their messages across to their customers through our variety of PID products and services, he added.

“We believe, by adopting a holistic approach to meet our customers’ needs, overseeing everything from content deployment, configuration to management, we are not only providing our customers with a one-stop solution to their digital signage needs but also setting us apart from our competition, giving us a win-win situation,” Bakshi said.

The PID range include Multiple Display Administrator (MDA) application that controls up to 98 displays simultaneously through the local network or serial port, as well as colour calibration that provides the option of automatic colour profile unification across all screens for the best aggregated presentation through a central PC.

This range also has super narrow Bezel with 5.6 mm bezel to bezel width, with 3.5 mm top and left and 2.1 mm bottom and right, providing a virtually seamless viewing experience for all.

The DisplayPort raises the bar for digital audio and video transmission with a 10.8 Gbps bandwidth keeping all content attractive and distortion-free in longer distances. BenQ’s PID range also has Intel’s Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) that empowers digital signage displays with expandability, flexibility and upgradeability at lower costs.

It also has digital and analogue Daisy Chain that help deliver high-quality mirrored contents to different locations, or build a huge multi-display, single-image video wall via one DVI port on the controller PC or VGA cables respectively without using splitters.

BenQ’s PID range is comprised of three unique series and a selection of software features that cater to specific customer needs such as the mainstream SL Series is perfect for single PID digital signage needs in convenient stores, shopping spaces or fast food places, as well as for landscape or portrait modes.

Other series include the Interactive Touch IL Series for closer customer engagement with 6-point touch interactivity for the 42-inch, 46-inch and 55-inch models and 2-point touch interactivity for the 65-inch model aim to create more business opportunities; and the Super Narrow Bezel P Series provide an unbeatable viewing experience thanks to its virtually invisible bezel design with 5.6mm bezel to bezel width.

The PID range comes with exclusive BenQ Software for integrated solutions, including the MDA application for simultaneous control over 98 displays and the Color Calibration software for total image consistency, especially on side-by-side video walls. – TradeArabia News Service
