FutureCard, a UAE-based expert in design, manufacture and customisation of all types of smartcards, has won a contract with the Road and Transport Authority (RTA) for the supply of nine million Nol smartcards.

 

The RFID ‘fare’ cards can be used to pay for travel on metro, buses, water buses and paid parking provided by the RTA. 

 

The deal covers a period of two years and the company was selected from five vendors within the framework of a public call for tender process.
