Du has announced that its TV customers will be able to watch the London Olympics 2012 in high definition (HD) for free, with full coverage available on the AD Sports channels.

All Olympics events will have Arabic and English commentary, a statement from the telecommunications company said.

The Olympics is set to begin July 27 and close with a grand ceremony on August 12. With du, AD Sports will offer daily studio shows on the lead up to the games, until July 24, an Olympics morning show in studio from July 23, and full event coverage and highlights from July 25 until the August 12, the statement said.

Farid Faraidooni, chief commercial officer, du, said: “We want to bring our customers closer to the world in every way, and what better way than to connect them, for free, to the biggest sporting event in the world?
