Gulf Industry Fair to highlight crucial sectors

Gulf Industry Fair, which is being held for the fifth time, will be the biggest ever edition of the leading Northern Gulf business-to-business (B2B) event and will put the spotlight on major industrial sectors.

It will highlight sectors including aluminium, steel and alloys, industrial processes and manufacturing, energy and environmental protection, ports, logistics and free trade zones, training for industry, industrial safety and security and marine and deep sea services, according to a report in our sister publication, the Gulf Daily News.

This year, the event at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre will cover a gross area of 3,200 sq m net, up from 2,500 sq m in 2012. It will host a record number of 110 exhibitors.

While 88 companies, representing 81 pent of exhibitors, there will again be a major presence of international pavilions from across the region and further a field.

Around 60 per cent of participants are making their first appearance at the event having heard of the success companies had at last year's edition.

A key innovation this year from feedback from exhibitors and visitors will be a presentation zone which will allow exhibitors the ability to promote their products and services throughout the show.

"The show has been extensively promoted through print advertising in daily newspapers and various regional and international trade publications," said organiser HCE managing director Jubran Abdulrahman.

"We have also has extensive outdoor advertising in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, electronic media advertising covering banner advertising on online media and direct mail which includes mail out of brochures and visitor tickets to more than 50,000 trade and business professionals in the region.

"On top of this we had hand distribution of visitor tickets to various industrial area in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and electronic direct mail which covered Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and internationally Europe, China and India,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
