Etihad's Flying Nannies visit US hospital

Abu Dhabi, April 12, 2014

UAE national airline Etihad Airways said its Flying Nannies brought a smile to children’s faces when they dropped into the Children’s National Medical Centre in Washington, D.C. today, to attend the unveiling of the airline’s Cardiac Intensive Care room.

They spent time entertaining the children with a wide range of activities from their nanny kits including magic tricks, games and face-painting, said the Abu Dhabi-based carrier.

The Flying Nannies are cabin crew who have received specialised training from the world-renowned Norland College, and appreciate the perspective and needs of families with young children travelling with Etihad Airways.

Children's National Health System, based in Washington, DC, has been serving the nation's children since 1870. Children's National's hospital is Magnet-designated, and is consistently ranked among the top paediatric hospitals by U.S.News & World Report and the Leapfrog Group.
