Bahraini delegation wins top UN honours

A Bahraini delegation has won two awards during the annual National Model United Nations (NMUN) Conference in New York.
 
They were part of more than 5,000 delegates from six continents who took part in the event from March 28 to April 6, where they debated global issues, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
 
The Bahrain University's Model United Nations (BUMUN) delegation included Shaikha Latifa bint Mohammad Al Khalifa from Webster's Graduate School Regent College in London, Hajar Sultan from Bahrain Polytechnic and Maryam Al Zeera and Aseel Al Hermi from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland-Medical University of Bahrain.
 
They were led by NMUN Advisory Board member and BUMUN founder and programme director Doris Martin.
 
The Bahraini delegation won two awards during the closing ceremony including the Best Delegation Award and the Best Outstanding Position Paper Award in the World Health Organisation section. - TradeArabia News Service
