Abu Dhabi council honours female students

Abu Dhabi, October 12, 2013

The UAE Ministry of Interior held a programme in co-ordiation with the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) to honour female students at the Adult Learning Center.

The initiative is in pursuance of the ministry’s strategy, represented by the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Sector in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah, to instill this concept in community members and participate in such societal events.

Brigadier Saeed Rakan Al Rashedi, the head of Naturalization Department, said the initiative has contributed to develop performance and enhance the standard of services provided by the Directorate General of Naturalization by catering to its partners’ needs.

First Lieutenant Nadia Al Muhairi, the chairman of the Hawa (Eve) Committee, emphasized that the initiative embodies the higher leadership’s commitment to eradicate illiteracy from the UAE.

Al Muhairi also underscored the importance of providing education to all society members particularly those who missed formal education as children. To achieve this goal, the UAE government has included education development in the UAE in its existing and future plans, she added.-TradeArabia News Service
