Manchester varsity to host MBA Open Days

Dubai, February 20, 2013

Manchester Business School (MBS) Middle East Centre, part of the global business school’s international network, will host a series of three Open Days for prospective part time MBA students across Dubai, Kuwait and Doha this month.

In addition to counselling aspiring MBA students at these sessions, MBS is offering reduced programme tuition fees for registration on or before March 17 for the July new student intake, a statement from the school said.

MBS already supports more than 1,400 part time MBA students through the Middle East Centre, which is the largest and fastest growing in the international network. MBS is ranked 29th in the world in the 2013 Global MBA rankings published in January 2013 by the Financial Times.

MBS Middle East Centre representatives will be available at each of the Open Days to meet prospective students and MBA candidates, review and assess their CVs and application profiles, and hold one-to-one counselling sessions to explore options, more personally.

The school already runs a highly successful part time Global MBA programme for more than 1,400 working professionals in the region, from its centre in Dubai Knowledge Village. The part-time study option leads to the award of the internationally recognised Manchester MBA degree awarded by the University of Manchester.

MBS offers four part-time Global MBA programmes, designed for experienced businesspeople with MBA learning pathways in engineering, project management and finance, in addition to the general Global MBA. The part time MBA programme guarantees a minimum of 250 hours of face-to-face workshops with Manchester faculty, hosted in Dubai.

Randa Bessiso, Manchester Business School - director Middle East, said: “Our MBA Open Days are a great platform for us to meet prospective MBA students. Our part time MBA students are typically mid-career managers or specialists looking to switch career direction from a specialist role to management, or accelerate their management career. This route leads to the award of the same world class Manchester MBA degree awarded by the University of Manchester.”

The Manchester Business School MBA is triple accredited and ranked 29 in the world, according to the Financial Times (2013). MBS is part of a small and select group of institutions worldwide that is accredited by all three major bodies - AACSB International, Amba and Equis. – TradeArabia News Service
