Fujitsu, Elapco ink AC distribution deal

Dubai, June 6, 2013

Fujitsu General, a leading AC and electronics company, has partnered with UAE-based Elapco, distributors of AC solutions, to bring Fujitsu’s next generation line of variable refrigerant flow (VRF) AC systems to the UAE.

The VRF systems are engineered categorically for sustainable green buildings and it also provides opportunities for building owners to claim numerous LEED prerequisites.

The new generation of Fujitsu General VRF (R410A) system is a sophisticated centralized air conditioning system that cools large multi-zone spaces with varying heating and cooling needs through intelligent controls.

This results in tremendous power savings as the system is smart enough to know where to cool and when. It is best suited for UAE’s high-rise buildings having multi zones such as sophisticated offices, hotels, premium residential properties and hospitals, because of the flexibility of control and significantly lower electricity bills, a company statement said.

This is the most advanced system of air conditioning available and provides full master control for billing, temperature control and diagnostics making it ideal for multiple tenancy buildings.

It incorporates the eco-friendly R410A refrigerant and offers tremendous energy savings thanks to its capacity variation in 1 per cent steps from 10 to 100 per cent of rating.

Yanagimoto, CEO of Fujitsu General ME said:  “At Fujitsu General we constantly strive to cultivate and better relationship between humans and environment as a whole. Fujitsu General is creating values for the new generation by fusing advanced technology and marketing power. The introduction of the VRF technology and systems is a firm step in that direction.”

“Our flagship brand OGeneral has been predominately used in the UAE and the Middle East region. With constant upgrades in technology and new innovations, we wish to affirm our leadership in these regions,” he added.

Tariq Al Ghussein, CEO of Elapco Group said, “The current prerequisite for the UAE and the Middle Eastern Region is sustainable air conditioning solutions, due to the extreme climatic conditions here.

“We believe in the Fujitsu General philosophy of conserving energy and with their first-hand innovation in the VRF range our valued customers in this region will now have access to more comprehensive green conforming air conditioning solutions.”

The modular design of VRF results in superior energy savings giving occupants the choice to air condition or heat only zones in use. Being modular, outdoor units are so compact that they can be carried through commercial freight elevators.

A VRF system provides exceptional dehumidification and temperature control by rapidly adapting to changing loads. Another advantage is that it can accommodate relatively larger lengths of up to 1000 m refrigerant piping, amongst the highest in its class, according to the statement. – TradeArabia News Service
