‘Design Mission Middle East’ supported by Ahec

, June 5, 2013

Leading decision makers, specifiers and suppliers involved in major construction projects are attending a design-related event in Doha, which began yesterday.

The inaugural two-day 'Design Mission Middle East 2013' focuses on functioning as a deal-flow platform and facilitating business based on the enormous architecture and design driven market that exists in Qatar and across the GCC.

The American Hardwood Export Council (Ahec), a leading international trade association for the American hardwood industry, has extended its support for the event, which is held at The W Hotel and Residences.

Ahec’s participation is aimed at strategically highlighting the potential application and strong environmental credentials of American hardwoods among the designers and specifiers present at the event.

During the event, experts will source quality products, network and re-educate themselves with the latest market trends, products and services, said a statement.

IDE, a leader in B2B sales and marketing, has developed its unique DSI pre-scheduled meeting model wherein each of the 50 pre-qualified projects participating in the event will be represented by the Decision Maker (Client/Developer), Specifier (Architect/Interior designer) and the Influencer (Contractor/Consultant).

The idea is to ensure that the three key representatives of a given project will be seated together while meeting with the preferred solution providers, so as to not further delay finalizing contracts for procurement.

“Today's business landscape needs revolutionizing services to provide even more quality options easily available under one roof. We're excited to offer the DSI meeting model for the first time in the Middle East and work with the decision maker, the specifier, the influencer and the supplier at the same table," said Ganesh Babu, director, IDE-Global.

"We have also strategically partnered with The American Institute of Architects Middle East Chapter and Qatar Green Building Council to counsel us on the focus and format of Design Mission Middle East 2013. IDE's expertise lies at the juncture of procurement consultancy and business facilitation, which when combined can accelerate implementation as necessary for existing projects,” he added. - TradeArabia News Service
