Musanada to implement Meridian software

California, May 9, 2013

Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) has announced it will implement Proliance capital programme and management software from Meridian Systems, part of the Trimble Buildings Group.

Musanada is responsible for delivering shared services for Abu Dhabi government entities (ADGEs).  It manages the design, procurement and construction of hundreds of projects for the Abu Dhabi government.

The company will implement Proliance software to improve the management of design, construction and infrastructure projects throughout Abu Dhabi. The use of the software will help stakeholders throughout Musanada to gain control of project documentation, scheduling, budget and workflow in order to complete current and future projects more quickly and efficiently.

"Musanada selected Proliance software due to its proven track record of successful implementations with large-scale commercial and government projects around the world," said Mohamed Khalifa Al Fahed Al Mehairi, chief executive officer of Musanada.

"Proliance is able to integrate with our existing software and the platform's collaborative workflow engine is unmatched. The ability to gain visibility into how projects are performing across our portfolio will no doubt have a positive, long-term economic impact on our efforts."

"At the forefront of technology and process innovation, Musanada strives to bring world-class services to its government entities," said Peter Hedlund, regional director for Trimble Buildings in the Middle East.

"Trimble Buildings aligns technology solutions for the building and infrastructure owner across the design-build-operate lifecycle. As we continue to expand our customer base in the Middle East, we are pleased that Proliance has been selected by Musanada to advance the delivery of capital infrastructure and construction programs throughout Abu Dhabi."

In 2012, Musanada began seeking an efficient and cost-effective software platform that would help the organisation manage multiple large projects and keep stakeholders continually updated and informed throughout the building lifecycle. After evaluating Proliance, Musanada approved the software for Abu Dhabi government projects.

Meridian recently enhanced Proliance capital programme management software with the ability to support multiple languages, including Arabic, and adaptation to a localized Hijri calendar to address the unique regional requirements of large project owners such as Musanada. – TradeArabia News Service
