Turkey sells 2-year benchmark bond at 7.93pc

Turkey's Treasury sold a new 2-year benchmark bond at an average compound yield of 7.93 per cent on Tuesday, below the 8.26 percent forecast in a Reuters poll, data from the central bank showed.
Sales of the benchmark bond stood at 1.96 billion lira ($983 million), below a forecast of 2.21 billion lira in the poll of seven financial institutions.
The Treasury sold a ten-year fixed-coupon bond maturing in September 2023 at an average compound yield of 8.82 per cent, again below the 8.96 per cent forecast.
Sales of the ten-year bond stood at 1.6 billion lira.
It tapped its floating-rate note (FRN) maturing in 2020 at an average of 95.542 lira, above the 94.93 lira poll forecast.
Sales of the FRN were 2.04 billion lira. - Reuters
