Travel and tourism agencies in Bahrain have been ordered to halt any promotions for trips to Iran immediately, said a report.
The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) issued a mandatory circular in this regard, warning that deterrent legal measures would be taken against lawbreakers who will face tough penalties, said a report in BNA.
“The measure is in implementation of the Government’s decision to continuously step up efforts aimed at protecting citizens and residents’ health and safety”, said BTEA chief executive officer Nader Khalil Almoayyed.
He said that the procedure is also in line with the national efforts undertaken by all government departments to combat the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and avert its outbreak.
“There is no compromise when it comes to citizens and residents’ health and safety”, he said, urging full commitment, shared responsibility and cooperation with various authorities and comply with all instructions from their official sources to prevent coronavirus (COVID-19). - TradeArabia News Service
