Bahrain Tourism linesup activities for Saudi National Day

In preparation for celebrating the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s 89th National Day, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) is hosting an exciting range of events and activities over a period of five days, from September 19 to 23.

The events are aimed at strengthening the bilateral relations between both kingdoms under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The events will be held in five different locations across the kingdom including The Avenues, Seef Mall - Seef District, Bahrain City Center and Marassi Al Bahrain. The Avenues will host the “Banoosh show” which symbolises the unity of the Bahraini and Saudi people, fireworks and performances by the royal musical band and a fireworks show. As for Seef Mall - Seef District, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy traditional Ardha performances.

To celebrate this occasion, City Centre Bahrain will be adorned with decorations to instill a festive spirit and distribute gifts and giveaways to its visitors, as well as host the “Trolls” show, which will be held in Bahrain for the first time. Visitors at Marassi Al Bahrain’s beach will have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoor cinema, traditional live performances performed by local bands, various beach activities and local food and desserts offered at the live cooking station.

The BTEA’s representative office in Saudi Arabia has coordinated with a number of hotels and travel agencies in Bahrain to offer a variety of promotions and discounts for the Saudi guests to enjoy a high-end hospitality experience and participate in the numerous celebrations by booking rooms at any of the participating hotels: Reef Resort, Gulf Hotel, The Grove Hotel, The K Hotel, The Westin, Le Meridien City Centre Bahrain, The Merchant House Hotel, Wyndham Grand Hotel, The Regency Hotel and The Domain Hotel. Participating travel agencies include Fursan Travel, Musafir Travels, Flyin Bahrain, Al Faris Travel, Expedia and HolidayMe.

On this occasion, Dr. Ali Follad, Tourism Advisor at BTEA, said: “Hosting these events come as part of the shared celebration of Saudi Arabia's National Day, and serve in promoting the unity between the two brotherly countries, in addition to enhancing bilateral relations. We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the people of Saudi Arabia and wish the kingdom further prosperity and continuous development."

“We welcome all visitors to participate in the celebrations and events, from fireworks to traditional shows and various activities all over Bahrain, and we expect these events to attract visitors from within Bahrain and other GCC countries,” he added.

Hosting these events comes as part of BTEA’s long-term strategy to develop the tourism sector and strengthen its position on a regional and international level under the slogan of ‘Ours.
