Bahrain will soon allow transit passengers to enjoy a short stayover in the kingdom, it was announced.

During a recent gathering, the chief executive officer of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa, said that "free visas" will be issued for stopover tourists for the first two or three days, "provided they have hotel bookings and return tickets", reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.
